1. Who we are
Nova Wellness Collection Inc. ("Nova", "we", "us") is a corporation based in British Columbia, Canada. We operate The Nova Hub ("the Service"). For privacy questions, contact:

This Policy is governed by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws of British Columbia, Canada.
2. Information we collect
2a. Information you give us

2b. Information collected automatically
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system. Used for security, abuse prevention, and to load the Service.
- Usage data: When and how you interact with features, error logs. Used to debug and improve the Service.
- Cookies and local storage: Used to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- Authenticate you and protect your account;
- Show your posts, comments, and profile to other members as you configure;
- Moderate content and enforce our Terms of Service, including reviewing reports and hiding rule-violating content;
- Generate AI features you actively request (tarot readings, horoscopes, angel-number meanings);
- Respond to your support requests and privacy inquiries;
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, automated decision-making with legal effects, or any purpose unrelated to operating the Service.
4. Anonymous posting — what it really means
When you post or comment "anonymously," your screen name is hidden from other members. However, Nova still knows which account posted the content, because we need that link for moderation, abuse-prevention, and legal compliance. We never reveal which account is behind an anonymous post except where required by law or as needed to enforce these Terms (for example, in response to a valid court order, or in cases of imminent risk of serious harm).
5. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. Ever. We share information only with the following categories of parties, only as needed:
- Service providers:
- Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and file storage. Your account data and content live here.
- OpenAI — when you actively request a tarot reading, daily horoscope, or angel-number lookup, the prompt for that feature is sent to OpenAI's API through our secure server. We never send your account email, profile data, or other community content to OpenAI.
- Other members: The information you choose to make public on your profile and in your posts is visible to other signed-in members of the Service.
- Authorities: If we receive a valid legal request (subpoena, court order, search warrant) or believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to prevent imminent harm, we may share information with law enforcement or other authorities.
- In a business transfer: If Nova Wellness Collection Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may transfer to the successor entity, subject to this Policy or a comparable one. We will notify members in advance.
6. Where your data is stored
The Service relies on Supabase, which may store your data on servers located outside Canada (including in the United States). When data is processed outside Canada, it may be subject to the laws of the country where it is stored, including potential access by foreign authorities under valid legal process. By using the Service, you acknowledge this cross-border transfer.
Where we transfer data internationally, we rely on industry-standard safeguards provided by our service providers, and we only use providers with strong security commitments.
7. How long we keep your information
- Active accounts: We keep your account and content for as long as your account is open.
- Deleted accounts: When you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep certain information longer for legal, audit, or fraud-prevention reasons.
- Reports: Moderation reports may be retained for up to 24 months for safety review and pattern detection.
- Backups: Information may persist in encrypted backups for a reasonable period after deletion (typically up to 90 days).
- Logs: Technical access logs are typically retained for up to 90 days.
8. Your privacy rights
Under PIPEDA and applicable provincial law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- Withdraw consent for our processing (note: this may end your ability to use the Service);
- Request deletion of your account and associated personal information;
- File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca if you believe we have not handled your information appropriately.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@the-nova-universe.com with the subject line "Privacy Request". We will respond within 30 days of receiving your request, in accordance with PIPEDA.
9. Security
We protect your information with reasonable, industry-standard safeguards including:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for everything sent between you and the Service;
- Hashed passwords (we cannot read your plaintext password);
- API keys for third-party services kept on our secure server, never sent to your browser;
- Row-level security on our database so members cannot access each other's private data;
- Regular review of access controls.
No system is perfectly secure. If a security breach affects your personal information in a way that creates real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the relevant regulator as required by law.
10. Children and minors
The Service is for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected information from someone under 18, we will delete that information promptly. 11. Cookies
We use cookies and browser local storage for essential functions only:
- Keeping you signed in to your account;
- Remembering your zodiac sign and saved tarot readings;
- Caching today's horoscope and angel-number readings to reduce load on our AI provider.
We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising or third-party analytics tracking.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Policy here with a new effective date and, where reasonable, notify you in the Service. Your continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
