Terms of Service
1. About these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you ("you", "member") and Nova Wellness Collection Inc. ("Nova", "we", "us"), a corporation based in British Columbia, Canada, that operates The Nova Hub ("the Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. What Nova Hub is — and isn't
Nova Hub is a peer-support community for members to connect, share experiences, and offer encouragement, with optional features like reflective tools (tarot readings, daily horoscopes, angel-number lookups). It is intended for support and connection, not for medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.
Nova Hub is not a crisis service. If you are in crisis or your safety is at risk, please contact emergency services (911 in Canada and the USA) or one of the crisis lines listed on the Resources page. Anything shared on Nova Hub by other members is the personal opinion of those members and is not a substitute for professional care.
3. Eligibility — you must be 18+
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use the Service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older. If we have reason to believe a member is under 18, we may suspend or terminate the account. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
4. Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Don't share your password.
- You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.
- Notify us immediately at info@the-nova-universe.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
- You may close your account at any time by emailing us. We will delete or anonymize your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Community rules
The Nova Hub only works because members protect one another. By using the Service you agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, bully, dox, stalk, or intimidate any member;
- Post hateful, discriminatory, or violent content based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic;
- Post content that sexualizes minors, or content that is non-consensual intimate imagery of any person;
- Encourage another person toward self-harm, suicide, eating-disorder behaviour, or relapse;
- Share another person's private information without their clear consent;
- Promote, sell, or advertise products, services, MLM schemes, or solicit business;
- Impersonate other members, real public figures, Nova staff, or any organization;
- Upload content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights;
- Attempt to bypass moderation, scrape the Service, run bots, or interfere with how the Service works for others.
6. Reporting and moderation
Each post and comment has a Report button. If you see something that breaks the rules above, please report it. After three independent reports on a single piece of content, that content is automatically hidden pending review. We may also remove content, suspend accounts, or permanently terminate accounts that violate these Terms — at our reasonable discretion. We aim to be fair, but we will always prioritize community safety over any individual member's posting privileges.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of the posts, comments, photos, videos, and other content you upload ("Your Content"). By posting Your Content to the Service, you grant Nova a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, store, and reproduce it for the limited purpose of operating, providing, and improving the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content (or your account), except that copies may persist in backups for a reasonable period.
You confirm that you have all rights necessary to post Your Content and that doing so does not violate the rights of any third party.
8. Anonymous posting
You may choose to post or comment anonymously. "Anonymous" means your screen name is hidden from other members; it does not mean Nova does not know which account posted the content. We retain the link between accounts and anonymous posts to enable moderation, abuse prevention, and legal compliance, as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. AI-assisted features
Some features (tarot readings, daily horoscopes, angel-number meanings) are generated by artificial intelligence (currently OpenAI's models, accessed through Nova's secure server). These are reflective and entertainment tools — not professional advice. AI output can sometimes be wrong, off-tone, or unexpected. Use your own judgement, and never rely on AI output for any health, legal, financial, safety, or relationship decision.
10. Third-party services
The Service uses third-party providers including Supabase (database and authentication) and OpenAI (AI features). When you use the Service, certain technical data is transmitted to these providers as needed for the Service to work. See the Privacy Policy for details.
11. Service availability
We work to keep the Service available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time. We're not liable for downtime, lost posts, lost messages, or any disruption.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nova does not warrant that the Service will meet your needs, be error-free, or that any information shared by other members is accurate, safe, or appropriate.
Member-to-member content is the responsibility of the member who posted it, not Nova. We are not responsible for actions you take based on what other members say on the Service.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Nova Wellness Collection Inc., its directors, officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, emotional distress, or harm caused by other members. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed CAD $100.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Nova harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your use of the Service, (b) Your Content, or (c) your breach of these Terms.
15. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if continued access could harm other members or the Service. You may also stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. The sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive (such as ownership of content, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive termination.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in British Columbia, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that the courts located in British Columbia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or related to the Service or these Terms, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim in your home jurisdiction.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll post the new Terms here with an updated effective date and, where reasonable, notify you in the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the new Terms take effect means you accept them.
